About ComplyStandards

ComplyStandards builds self-hosted software that helps EU importers prepare their CBAM declarations. We are an independent software venture — not the EU CBAM Registry, and not affiliated with the European Commission.

Who is behind it

ComplyStandards was founded by Dr Tanzeel Ur Rashid, a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) with a PhD in Energy specialising in energy planning and energy modeling. He is registered as a consultant with the Pakistan Engineering Council (registration no. MECH/17024) and is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The reason that matters: CBAM is, at its core, an emissions-modeling problem. The platform's calculation engine — which turns customs data and supplier inputs into embedded-emissions and euro liability — is built on exactly the discipline behind an energy-modeling PhD: deterministic, reproducible, and traceable to the source rules. Every figure the software produces can be followed back to EU Regulation (EU) 2023/956 and its implementing acts.

What we do — and what we don't

Our software calculates embedded emissions and generates the registry-ready QReport XML, validated against the official EU schema, on your own infrastructure. The final legal declaration is filed by the authorised CBAM declarant in the official EU CBAM Registry — by law, not in our software. Accredited third-party verification of emissions also happens outside the app. We prepare and validate the data; you file it.

Your data never leaves you

ComplyStandards is self-hosted: it runs on your own servers. Your emissions figures, supplier information and customs volumes never leave your infrastructure, and nothing is sent to us. There is no central database of customer data on our side. For importers handling commercially sensitive supply-chain and cost information, that data sovereignty is the whole point.
